Surakarta, October 1, 2024 – Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Raden Mas Said Surakarta is proud to host The 1st International Islamic Economics Summer Class 2024, taking place from October 1 to 13, 2024. This event is a collaboration between UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta, and it is attended by several other Islamic State Universities (PTKIN), including UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, UIN Jember, UIN Pekalongan, UIN Salatiga, and IAIN Kudus.
To broaden networks and enhance students' understanding of Islamic economics, this summer class also invites participants from abroad, including students from Uganda, Gambia, the Philippines, Yemen, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Turkey. The presence of international participants is expected to enrich the perspectives and experiences shared during discussions on Islamic economics.
The Summer Class 2024 begins with a lively opening ceremony, followed by various engaging activities, including outdoor games that promote camaraderie and teamwork among participants. Additionally, there will be a Focused Group Discussion (FGD) with the theme “Unity in Diversity,” aimed at exploring different viewpoints and experiences regarding diversity in the context of Islamic economics.
As part of the event, a Dinner and Culture Talk will be held to foster closer relationships among participants from diverse cultural backgrounds.
